Adirondack Children's Troupe (ACT) was founded in 1979 to provide a top quality theater experience for school-aged children.   ACT presents three productions per year cast with students in grades 3-12.

ACT believes in a non-audition program, and students are registered on a first-come, first serve basis.   Productions are then cast from those registered, giving children of all abilities an opportunity to participate in live theater.

ACT's theater experience helps children

  • develop communications skills and self-awareness through creative thinking and group dynamics
  • develop self-esteem and confidence, which is critical in molding young lives
  • learn that every job involved in theater is important to what the audience sees and experiences
